It all starts here when Jim Colley attends Glasgow School of Art, studying jewellery making under renowned Glasgow Jeweller William Morrison.

J F Colley Goldsmiths is founded and Jim opens his first shop in his home town of Denny with the help of his wife Rae. His eldest son Stephen soon joins the company, he is also trained with the help of William Morrison.

They relocate to the Cow Wynd in Falkirk where there other son Gordon joins the fold, he studies gemology at Barmulloch College.

They quickly expand into two shops, one for repairing and making jewellery the other for the purpose of engraving.

With a lack of space even with the two shops Jim opts for a purpose built jewellery

workshop behind the Cow Wynd storefront, giving Stephen and Gordon the space to expand the business and invest in some new equipment.

1996

Jim and Rae's two daughters Fiona and Pamela are also employed during the nineties as are Rae's two sisters Margaret and Anne.

As Jim and Rae consider retirement an opportunity arose to own a shop on Falkirk High Street, Stephen and Gordon then took over the jewellery shop and moved right next to the iconic Falkirk Steeple where they still are to this day, a small shop but perfect for the brand.
